Joinery for Fine Woodworking

Ten years ago, I returned to a boyhood love—woodworking. Since then my interest has grown, particularly in joinery for fine woodworking. I am using this site to distribute some of the ideas that I have had since. 

Ruud is a common Norwegian family name. It means "a clearing or small farm in the woods." So, it is the ending for some other Norwegian family names, such as Evinrude. Ruud is pronounced like the word "rude." 

My great grandfather emigrated as a young boy to the United States of America from Norway in the late 19th century.
